Individuals wishing to participate in the election process must complete their party membership registration no later than March 23, 2026, by 23:00 PST, which is the final deadline to become eligible to vote.
The submission of nominations for candidates contesting the National General Council (NGC) elections, comprising 200 seats, will open on March 15, 2026 at 17:00 PST. The final deadline for submitting nominations for NGC candidates will be March 23, 2026 by 23:59 PST. It is noted that Eid holidays will fall between March 20 and March 23, 2026 during the nomination period.
Voting for the election of 200 members of the National General Council will be conducted through digital voting from March 26 to March 28, 2026. Voting will commence at 08:00 PST on March 26 and conclude at 12:00 noon PST on March 28, 2026.
The results of the National General Council elections will be announced on March 28, 2026 at 20:00 PST.
Members wishing to file appeals regarding the NGC election results may do so until 15:00 PST on March 29, 2026. Appeals will be heard within three days of the election, with the process expected to conclude by 17:00 PST on March 31, 2026, prior to the commencement of the election process for national office bearers.
The official notification of NGC results will be issued on March 31, 2026 at 20:00 PST.
Following the completion of the NGC elections, nominations for candidates contesting the National Office Bearer positions will be submitted on April 1, 2026 between 08:00 PST and 17:00 PST through the party’s website and mobile platform.
The voting for the election of National Office Bearers by members of the National General Council will take place from April 1, 2026 starting at 22:00 PST and will continue until April 2, 2026 at 16:00 PST.
Only members of the National General Council will be eligible to vote in the election of national office bearers, with each NGC member casting one vote for each position. A total of 25 national office bearer positions will be filled through this process. Only members elected to the NGC may contest for national office bearer positions, while members who are not part of the NGC will not be eligible to contest these elections. Voting will be conducted through electronic means.
The results of the election of National Office Bearers will be announced on April 2, 2026 at 20:00 PST.
Appeals against the results of the National Office Bearer elections may be submitted from April 2, 2026 at 22:00 PST until April 5, 2026 at 12:00 noon PST. Appeals will be received by the Chairperson of the Appellate Commission.
The official notification of the elected Office Bearers will be issued on April 5, 2026 by 17:00 PST.
Following completion of the election process, the party will submit the required certification to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) within the stipulated period of seven days after the elections, with submission scheduled for April 5, 2026.
