The first meeting of the National General Council, held on April 8, 2026, expresses its heartfelt gratitude to all party members, the newly elected members of the NGC, and all national office-bearers, including Party President Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Secretary General Miftah Ismail, as well as the Chairman of the Election Commission, Shahid Mahmood, and his team, for successfully conducting the party’s first intra-party elections. The Council also extends its appreciation to Arif Ahmad Khan, Chairman of the Appellate Commission, and his colleagues for their valuable contributions.
