The Awaam Pakistan Constitution outlines the party’s vision, democratic principles, and organizational structure, defining membership, governance, and internal election procedures.
The Awaam Pakistan Constitution lays out the foundational vision, principles, and organizational framework of the political party founded in Islamabad in June 2024 by its founding members. The document reflects the party’s commitment to strengthening democracy in Pakistan and promoting justice, equality, and freedom in accordance with the Constitution of Pakistan, 1973.
The constitution establishes a comprehensive structure for the party, beginning from the grassroots level and extending to the national leadership. It defines the formation and functioning of party organizations at the village, constituency, district, provincial, and national levels, culminating in the National General Council (NGC), which serves as the highest representative body of the party’s membership.
The document also outlines the roles, powers, and responsibilities of party office-bearers, including the President, Secretary General, Vice Presidents, Finance Secretary, Information Secretary, and other officials. In addition, it provides clear procedures for membership, internal governance, financial management, and accountability, ensuring that the party operates through transparent and democratic processes.
The constitution further sets out guidelines for intra-party elections, dispute resolution, disciplinary procedures, and the selection of party candidates for local, provincial, and national elections. It also provides for the establishment of overseas chapters and special wings, including women, youth, students, farmers, traders, lawyers, and social media wings, to encourage broad participation in the party’s activities.
Through these provisions, the constitution serves as the governing charter of Awaam Pakistan, guiding its commitment to internal democracy, institutional integrity, and inclusive political participation.
