Foreign Policy and National Security: "Mazboot, Khudmukhtar Pakistan."
In an era of shifting global alliances and emerging economic blocs, Pakistan needs a clear, confident, and people-centered strategy towards foreign policy. Awaam Pakistan is committed to pursuing a balanced and pragmatic foreign policy that strengthens the nation's sovereignty while expanding opportunities for growth and cooperation. Economic diplomacy will be its cornerstone—transforming Pakistan into a hub of regional connectivity and trade through partnerships built on mutual respect and shared benefit. Guided by principles of neutrality, peaceful engagement, and strategic resilience, this approach seeks to enhance security, attract investment, and promote regional harmony. By combining smart diplomacy with internal stability, Pakistan can take its rightful place as a respected, influential, and forward-looking member of the global community.
1. Economic Diplomacy and Global Partnerships
Economic diplomacy will anchor Awaam Pakistan's foreign policy. Positioned between South Asia, Central Asia, and the Middle East, Pakistan can become a vital regional trade and energy hub. Awaam Pakistan will prioritize mutually beneficial partnerships promoting trade, technology transfer, and sustainable growth. The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) will expand beyond infrastructure to include renewable energy, industry, and logistics. Regional integration through SAARC, ECO, and BIMSTEC will boost commerce and digital connectivity. Economic missions will engage investors and the Pakistani diaspora, which contributes over $32 billion annually, while technology-sharing agreements and Science and Technology Cooperation Centers will advance innovation and workforce development.
2. Peaceful Regional Engagement
Peaceful coexistence and regional cooperation are essential for Pakistan's prosperity. Awaam Pakistan is committed to dialogue, not confrontation, and will seek normalized relations with all neighbors while upholding dignity and sovereignty. The Kashmir issue will be pursued through UN resolutions and diplomacy to ensure self-determination. Strengthened ties with Afghanistan, Iran, and China in border management, counter-terrorism, and trade will foster regional peace and shared prosperity.
3. Fair and Open Trade
Trade is key to building a self-reliant Pakistan. Awaam Pakistan will promote fair, open, and equitable trade to expand global access for Pakistani goods and services. With exports currently around $30 billion, mainly in textiles, our goal is to double exports within ten years by diversifying into IT, agri-processing, pharmaceuticals, and green technologies. We will pursue favorable trade agreements with the EU, GCC, and ASEAN, simplify export procedures through digitalization, and support SMEs in improving quality, branding, and compliance. Pakistan will also play an active role in the WTO to advocate fairer global trade for developing nations.
4. Comprehensive National Security
Awaam Pakistan envisions a modern, multidimensional national security strategy that unites defense capability with diplomacy, intelligence, and internal resilience. Our approach will safeguard Pakistan's sovereignty while advancing peace and stability across the region. A credible nuclear deterrent will be maintained under strict command and control, ensuring responsibility and balance. Intelligence coordination will be strengthened to address emerging threats such as terrorism, cyber warfare, and climate-related risks. Investments in advanced surveillance, cybersecurity, and border management will enhance defense and law enforcement capacities, while proactive diplomacy will promote arms control, conflict prevention, and humanitarian cooperation at the international level.
5. Addressing Extremism and Building Resilience
Awaam Pakistan believes that true national security is inseparable from social development. Extremism and instability must be addressed not only through law enforcement but also through education, opportunity, and inclusion. With nearly 39% of Pakistanis living in multidimensional poverty, inequality and deprivation remain drivers of radicalization. To counter this, we will expand access to education, vocational training, and civic awareness, empowering youth to contribute positively to national progress. Civilian–military cooperation will prioritize rehabilitation, reconstruction, and reintegration in regions affected by conflict. Through inclusive development and social justice, Pakistan can build a more secure, resilient, and united future.
